Report on the Analysis of the National Situation: Human Rights of Women and Gender Equality

The general objective of the national report in assessing the situation of women's rights and gender equality is to focus on legal reforms and participation in decision-making in both public and private spheres, as well as on gender-based violence. The methodology included quantitative and qualitative data related to the role of Jordanian women and their participation in decision-making in public and private sectors, in addition to social gender-based violence, with comparative analytical classifications to evaluate progress in the field of equality between women and men in accordance with the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW); the results of the Istanbul meeting, interviews, and workshops with relevant stakeholders were also included. The report further addressed the most important issues and priorities that should be incorporated into future action plans.
